Some downtown Lexington streets to close for St. Patrick’s Day festivities Saturday

Several Lexington streets will be closed Saturday morning for Lexington’s Irish Festival and other St. Patrick’s festivities.

Vine Street, Midland Avenue and Main Street from Midland Avenue to Mill Street will be closed between 7 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. for the Shamrock Shuffle 3K run.

Short Street from Mill Street to Upper Street will be closed from 8 a.m. until about 9:30 p.m. for the festival.

Upper Street from Short Street to Main Street will close starting at 8 a.m. and will re-open after the parade, which starts at 1 p.m.

Midland Avenue will close again starting at 11 a.m. and Main Street will close starting at 12:30 p.m. for the parade. Both will re-open after the parade.

Upper Street from Main Street to Vine Street will be closed from 12:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.
