Cowboy Up for a Cure Rodeo is April 9
The Cowboy Up for a Cure Rodeo will take its third ride at the Kentucky Horse Park’s Alltech Arena at 7 p.m. April 9.
Gates open at 6 p.m., with a variety of activities planned for the whole family. WBUL will provide live entertainment while families may visit the inflatable village, face-painting booths, roping and riding demonstrations and the 15 vendor sponsors.
Professional rodeo entertainment will be provided by 3 Bar J Rodeo of Union City, Ind.
Proceeds will enable Cowboy Up for Cure to fund rehabilitative programs for children with pediatric cancer at the University of Kentucky’s DanceBlue Hematology/Oncology Treatment Clinic.
“We’re hoping that by bringing Central Kentuckians together for a night of rodeo fun, we can raise awareness and funding for kids who are facing the fight of their lives,” said Rebecca Shryock, founder of Cowboy Up for a Cure Inc.
Tickets are on sale through April 8 at the Cowboy Up for a Cure website, Cowboyupforacure.com or at the door. Cost is $15 per person, with children 5 years old and younger admitted free.
