Lexington man sentenced for recording sexual images of a child

A Lexington man has been sentenced in federal court after admitting to using his phone to record sexually explicit images of a child under the age of 10 on multiple occasions in 2015.

U.S. District Judge Danny C. Reeves sentenced Corey Lane Snapp, 30, to 17 years and 11 months in federal prison on Wednesday, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Kentucky.

Snapp must serve at least 85 percent of his sentence and admitted to molesting the victim.

He will be required to register as a sex offender once released.
