Storm brings rainbow for widow of fallen Richmond officer
A cold front brought severe weather to Kentucky on Thursday, but for the widow of a fallen Richmond police officer it brought something beautiful.
Katie Ellis’ husband, Richmond police officer Daniel Ellis, was killed while investigating a robbery in 2015. Ellis posted photos Thursday on Facebook of a full rainbow over her husband’s police car at their home. The post went viral shortly after.

“Tonight directly over the spot the car would have sat was the most beautiful rainbow I have ever seen,” she said in the post. “The first rainbow since the one over the car at the police department on the morning of November 6th. I continue to miss him everyday.”
