50-year-old woman is killed in Floyd County house fire
A 50-year-old woman was killed in a house fire Saturday night in the Floyd County community of Langley, the Floyd County coroner’s office said Sunday.
Kentucky State Police said they were called to the house about 8:45 p.m. Saturday.
The coroner’s office Sunday identified the victim as Cathy Rena Marshall Kirkland. It said one other unidentified person was in the house but got out safely.
It also said autopsy results were pending.
The death and cause of the fire are under investigation, police said Sunday.
