Funeral arrangements set for Lexington cardiologist killed in bicycle crash

Funeral arrangements have been set for a Lexington cardiologist who died in a bicycle crash Sunday.

The funeral for Dr. David Cassidy will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Christ Church Cathedral on Market Street, according to Milward Funeral Home. The visitation will be after the funeral from 12 to 2 p.m. Friday at the Thomas Hunt Morgan House on North Broadway.

Cassidy was riding his bicycle when he was hit by a woman who didn’t see him as she merged into a lane on U.S. 68 in Bourbon County, police said Monday.
