Saint Joseph East looking for Kentucky artwork to display in hallways, patient rooms
Saint Joseph East is looking for original work from Kentucky artists to purchase and display for patients and their families to enjoy. A variety of 2D work, from painting to photography, will be displayed in hallways with high-traffic volume and patient rooms.
Subject matter of interest includes nature, landscapes and artist interpretations that promote an uplifting or calming environment. Natural elements, color and lighting should be important components. Artwork that is purely abstract will not be considered.
Any artist in Kentucky may apply. The deadline to submit artwork is midnight May 20. Artists will be notified of the results by May 27.
Saint Joseph East intends to purchase up to 30 two-dimensional works that, when framed, are at least 16 inches in any direction and no more than 24 inches in any direction, with a price range of $100 to $750 each. Only works that have not previously been purchased by any Saint Joseph facility will be considered.
To apply, go to Lexarts.org/participate/calltoartists.
