Free stroke screening to be offered Friday at Fayette Mall

Baptist Health Lexington will offer free stroke screening from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday near the Dillard’s inside entrance at Fayette Mall. No appointment is necessary.

The check of risk factors for stroke will include assessment of blood pressure, pulse, blood glucose and total cholesterol. Staff also will check for signs of narrowing of the carotid artery.

If needed, an EKG will be performed. If an abnormality is found, the individual will be offered an evaluation with the Center for Atrial Fibrillation and Heart Rhythm Disorders at Baptist Health Lexington.
