18-year-old charged in connection with Captain America-masked bank robbery
Police have charged an 18-year-old in connection with the robbery of the City National Bank on Walden Drive in Lexington last week.
Rahmeece Woods was arrested in Nicholasville and charged with first-degree robbery, according to a news release from Lexington police. He was being held in the Jessamine County Detention Center.
Police are still trying to identify and find two other suspects involved in the case, in which one of the three robbers wore a Captain America mask and sweatshirt.
The three, thought to be between ages 18 and 24, walked into the bank at 3616 Walden Drive and left with cash just before noon on May 10. One of the robbers had a handgun.
Police used dogs to track them to a wooded area nearby, but a witness said they had already left in a black hatchback.
Anyone with information about the case should call police at 859-258-3600.
