Read off overdue book fines

The Lexington Public Library will allow customers to read off their fines by reading in any of the library system’s six locations between May 15 and 31. The library will forgive $8 in fines for every 60 minutes of reading.

Reading must be done in the library with no more than three hours per day. Customers must register with a library staff member before they begin their reading. An adult may read to any pre-reading child.

Fines may be read off only on overdue items, not lost items.
