Utility trailer thief in action
Police are asking for your help to catch a man who stole a business’s utility trailer. If you have information about either the Crime of the Week or the Suspect of the Week, do not try to take action on your own. Crime of the Week
Police are asking for your help to catch whoever is stealing utility trailers in Fayette County. Just after 8 a.m. May 1, a man arrived at Integrated Sign and Graphic at 5801 Kingpost Court. He cut the lock off a fence at the business. Once inside, he hitched up to a 24-foot commercial utility flat-bed trailer and towed it away. The trailer is valued at $3,500. This is one of about 15 similar thefts in recent months.
The man’s truck is a black GMC extended cab with white signs on either side.
Bluegrass Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the solving of this crime.
Suspect of the Week
This week’s Suspect of the Week is Michael Winkler, 23, who is wanted on charges of theft and possession of forged instruments. Winkler is described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds.
