A 66-year-old Clark County man was killed early Monday morning when he was struck by multiple vehicles while walking eastbound on Interstate 64.
The Fayette County coroner’s office said Stanley C. Willoughby died around 5:37 a.m. Monday when he was struck by more than one vehicle in Fayette County.
Lexington police said they are not sure why Willoughby was walking on the interstate early Monday. The interstate was shut down for several hours after the accident, re-opening shortly after 7 a.m.
Willoughby died at the scene.

The coroner's office said one of the drivers that hit the man was a pregnant woman, and she was taken to a hospital to be examined.
