Woman involved in I75/I64 motorcycle crash dies

A woman who lost control of a motorcycle and hit a boat that was being hauled by a truck on Friday has died.

The Fayette County coroner’s office identified the woman as Nicole McGowan, 45, and said she died at 5 p.m. Friday.

Police said McGowan collided with the boat at around Mile Marker 116 on southbound Interstate 75/Interstate 64 in Fayette County. Police were still investigating how the crash happened.
