Free tennis clinic for kids is July 19 at Lexington Tennis Club

Kids ages 6 to 18 can join a free tennis clinic/round robin at 6:30 p.m. July 19 at Lexington Tennis Club, 410 Redding Road. Participants of all abilities are invited to spend the evening learning how to play tennis or improve their game in a friendly, fun-filled atmosphere that includes a round robin following the clinic.

Children 10 and younger who attend, and are not United States Tennis Association members, will receive a free membership.

Instruction, rackets (if needed) and equipment will be provided.

Participants in the clinic/round robin also will have the opportunity to sign up as ball kids for the Kentucky Bank Tennis Championships on July 25-31 at the University of Kentucky’s Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex. This year, four of the world’s top 100 men’s players will be competing, the most in its 20-plus-year history.
