Black and White Ball to bring 1920s alive at the Speakeasy

The Black and White Ball, the annual fundraiser for the Bluegrass Rape Crisis Center, will be at 8 p.m. Aug. 6 at the Speakeasy.

Located in the Lexington Distillery District at 903 Manchester Street, the Speakeasy is the most recent addition to the Barrel House Events facility.

The ball will bring the 1920s alive, with a ragtime band and swing dancing. Music will be provided by the Walnut Street Ramblers, accompanied by a dance lesson from LexSwing Dance.

Guests are encouraged to dress in era-appropriate attire. Tickets are $75 and include a seated meal and a swing dance lesson. Go to Midwestix.securemytix.com/event/bwball16 to purchase tickets.
