Republic Bank on Harrodsburg Road robbed

Republic Bank at 2401 Harrodsburg Road was robbed Saturday morning.

Just before 11 a.m., the suspect walked into the bank, demanded money and implied he had a weapon. According to a Lexington police release, the subject then jumped the counter and took money, placing it in a plastic grocery bag.

The suspect is described as a man wearing a mask and gloves. He appeared to be wearing a light-colored sweatshirt.
