Teenager dies in a three-vehicle collision in Franklin County, police say

One person is dead after a three-car collision on Georgetown Road in Franklin County, according to Kentucky State Police.

Halle Ramos, 19, was killed in the wreck, Trooper Stuart Jackson said. Initial investigation indicated that Ramos was driving a 2004 Chrysler 200 around the 6000 block of Georgetown Road when she crossed over the center line and crashed into two vehicles just before 4 a.m., Jackson said.

Ramos was pronounced dead on the scene by the Franklin County coroner, Jackson said. Her body was taken to the State Medical Examiner’s office in Frankfort for an autopsy, Jackson said. The two other drivers involved were treated at the scene by Frankfort Emergency Medical Services, he said.

A KSP collision reconstruction unit responded to the scene, and the road was closed until about 9 a.m., according to the Lexington Traffic Management Center.

KSP was among several agencies that responded to the crash. KSP Post 12 will continue to investigate, Jackson said.
