Updated: Frankfort house fire kills one person. Coroner identifies victim

One person died in Frankfort Thursday morning as a result of a house fire, according to the Frankfort Fire Department.

The Franklin County Coroner has identified the victim as Anthony Graham, 63. The coroner said Graham’s cause of death appears to be from smoke inhalation.

The fire at a home on Bradley Street was reported at 2:22 a.m. Thursday, per the fire department. When firefighters arrived they found the residence fully engulfed in flames.

After knocking down the fire, firefighters went inside the structure and found a deceased male, according to the fire department. The coroner pronounced Graham dead at 4:08 a.m.

His remains were sent to the Franklin County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy.

The victim was the only person home at the time of the fire, the fire department said. The home is a total loss.

Investigators are working to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
