Snake causes large power outage in Central Kentucky. Power has since been restored

More than 2,000 people in Franklin County were without power Wednesday morning after a snake caused a power outage, according to Blue Grass Energy.

The outage was reported at 6:42 a.m. on Facebook. It mostly impacted members in Franklin County.

Almost an hour later the electric company reported that power had been restored.

Blue Grass Energy’s power outage map no longer shows any issues in Frankfort’s vicinity.
