Fire forces temporary closing of Frankfort Kroger
A Kroger store in Frankfort caught fire and had to be evacuated Monday afternoon.
Kroger spokesman Tim McGurk said the fire at the Brighton Park Kroger started at about 4 p.m. and burned for about 30 minutes.
No one was injured.
McGurk said Monday evening that the store was still closed and the damage was being assessed.
“We applaud the great work of the Frankfort Fire Department and police for their quick response,” he said.
McGurk said the cause of the fire hasn’t been determined. The store was being remodeled.
