‘Sing’ to be shown at the courthouse on Saturday

First Southern Bank is sponsoring a free outdoor showing of the computer-animated comedy “Sing” on Saturday behind the Jessamine County Courthouse on First Street. Come early for activities and food, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The movie starts at about 9 p.m. Bring your own lawn chairs or blankets.

Gospel on the Green

Marlana VanHoose will perform at 7 p.m. Friday for the Wilmore Downtown Gospel on the Green series. VanHoose, a Paintsville native, has performed at major sporting events, the presidential inauguration, and the Republican National Convention. Jessamine Creek Express and Gone Fiddlin’ will also play. Food will be available for purchase from local vendors, or bring your own picnic. Some chairs and tables will be available.
