All-American Burger Bash - Rescheduled
The Jessamine County Fairgrounds will be the setting for the All-American Burger Bash on Friday and Saturday. The free event will feature a balloon glow on Friday, a burger grill-off competition on Saturday, and a talent competition. Other features include: kids’ games, inflatables, pet costume contest, watermelon eating contest and food trucks. The event wraps up on Saturday evening with a showing of the Lego Batman Movie and a fireworks display. Schedule available at Visitnich.com.
Boost your memory at Lunch and Learn
Turn the library into your gym for brain exercises at the Boost Your Memory Lunch and Learn from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Jessamine County Public Library. Explore tools to help you improve memory and brain function, including BrainHQ and Transparent Language Online. The library will provide a light lunch. Last Beef Cattle Association cookout of the year
The Jessamine County Beef Cattle Association will be cooking from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday at the Tractor Supply parking lot at 1015 North Main Street in Nicholasville. This is the last cookout of the year. Proceeds benefit local charities. The menu includes ribeye steak sandwiches, hamburgers and all-beef hotdogs.
