Pedestrian dies after being hit by truck on busy highway
A Nicholasville man died after being hit by a vehicle on U.S. 27 Monday night.
Jesse C. Reece, 28, was trying to cross U.S. 27 near the intersection with Windmill Way in Nicholasville when he was hit by a northbound pickup truck, the Fayette County coroner said in a news release.
Reece was taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:55 p.m. as a result of blunt force trauma, the coroner said.
