Moped driver killed in a crash in Central Kentucky. Sheriff’s office investigates

A moped driver was killed Monday evening in a crash in Jessamine County, according to the Jessamine County Sheriff’s Office and coroner’s office.

Jessamine County Coroner Michael Hughes identified the victim as 49-year-old Robert McClure, of Jessamine County.

The crash happened at the intersection of Jessamine Station Road and Drake Lane, according to the sheriff’s office. McClure collided with a van in the intersection, Hughes said.

It’s unknown if the other person involved in the crash was injured.

The sheriff’s office said it had Jessamine Station Road blocked off while the Collision Reconstruction Team investigated the crash. The road reopened at about 9:30 p.m.
