Flex exercise offered at Wesley Village
Start the New Year with the Silver Sneakers Flex Exercise program at 10:55 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the Wilmore Senior Community Center at Wesley Village.
Trainer Aureol Moore brings her experience and enthusiasm to motivate participants toward a life of better physical health. The program focuses on strengthening the body, increasing mobility and getting more security with balance. Exercise balls, weights and resistance bands are used during the course.

Health Department has fitness program for women 50 and older
The Strong Woman Program is a moderate intensity fitness class designed for women 50 years and older interested in strength and balance training. The class meets from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Jessamine County Health Department, 210 East Walnut Street.

Young artist program begins Sunday at Polvino Center
An afternoon art program for children ages 6-11 begins Sunday at the Polvino Family Art Center at 109 South Main Street, Nicholasville.
The sessions meet from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Sundays through April 24 and focus on art techniques and projects. The final session will be an exhibit of the work created during the sessions to which family and friends will be invited. Sessions are led by certified art teachers Staci Goggins and Hope Soch.
