Funeral services for couple killed in Brussels are held at Southland Christian Church

Funeral services were held Friday for a couple with Lexington ties who died in terrorist bombings on March 22 in Brussels, Belgium.

Services for Stephanie Shults, 29, and her husband, Justin Shults, 30, were held at Southland Christian Church in Jessamine County.

Stephanie Shults was born in Lexington, graduated from Bryan Station High School and Transylvania University, and later went to Vanderbilt University in Nashville, where she met her husband.

He went to Gatlinburg Pittman High School in Tennessee. Memorial services for the couple will be held Sunday at Richardson’s Cove Baptist Church in Sevierville, Tenn.
