Community blood drive on Main Street
The Kentucky Blood Center Bloodmobile will accept donations from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Nicholasville Culver’s, 961 North Main Street. Donors will receive a chance to win a Toyota Tacoma and a coupon for a free pint of custard.

Marlana VanHoose and Jonathan Hutcherson to perform at Wesley Village
Two Kentucky singers of national prominence will sing at 1:30 p.m. on Fridayat the Wilmore Community Senior Center at Wesley Village, 1125 Lexington Road, Wilmore.
Jonathan Hutcherson, a 16-year-old from Wilmore, was recently a finalist on NBC’s “The Voice.” Marlana VanHoose, a 19-year-old from Paintsville, recently sang the “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland.
