Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit to perform at Eastern Kentucky University. Where to get tickets
Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit will perform a concert in Richmond in February, the Eastern Kentucky University Center for the Arts announced Tuesday.
The show will take place Feb. 2 at the EKU Center For the Arts. Peter One, a singer-songwriter from Côte d’Ivoire who currently lives and makes music in Nashville, will also be a special guest for the show.
Tickets to the concert start at $75 and will go on sale Friday. They’ll be available on the EKU Center for the Arts website.
Proceeds from the show will benefit three non-profit organizations: Black Voters Matter, Fair Fight and Georgia STAND-UP.
Isbell is regarded as a world class songwriter and has won multiple Grammy Awards. His albums “Something More Than Free” and “The Nashville Sound,” won Grammy Awards for Best Americana Album & Best American Roots Song.
Last year, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit released a special covers album, “Georgia Blue,” celebrating Georgia’s role in the 2020 election. The record consists of new versions of 13 songs with ties to the state, including tracks recorded originally recorded by R.E.M., Drivn’ N’ Cryin’, James Brown, Cat Power, Otis Redding and others.
