70-year-old woman from Michigan killed in a Central Kentucky crash, police say
A 70-year-old woman from Michigan was killed in Madison County Thursday after being involved in a fatal collision, according to Kentucky State Police.
The accident happened on Interstate Drive in Richmond. State police said two people from Michigan were traveling in a Buick Verano when their vehicle was T-boned by a Dodge Ram pickup truck while trying to turn into a gas station.
The passenger of the Buick Verano, 70-year-old Loretta Birch, was transported to a hospital, where she later died, according to state police.
State police made no mention of injuries to the drivers of either vehicles.
State police are conducting the investigation.
