Three injured after Central KY crash involving police cruiser
Three people were taken to a hospital on Friday afternoon when a police cruiser from Cave City turned in front of another vehicle in Madison County, Kentucky State Police said.
The driver of the marked patrol vehicle from the Cave City Police Department was westbound on Lancaster Road and was making a left turn onto Caleast Road when he turned in front of a Hyundai Genesis that was eastbound on Lancaster, state police said in a news release.
The drivers of both vehicles and a juvenile passenger were taken to Baptist Health Richmond for treatment of minor injuries, according to KSP.
Cave City is in Barren County, about 138 miles southwest of Richmond.
State police said they are investigating the crash, which happened just before 4 p.m.
