Santa has been arriving by train in Midway for decades. This time, a drone followed him.

Saturday marked the annual arrival of Santa to Midway as a red RJ Corman train came to a stop on Main Street.

Hundreds lined the rails as Santa departed the train and headed inside to greet children and hear their Christmas wish lists.

Arriving by train is a tradition that goes back nearly 60 years.

“Midway is a unique town because we were the first railroad town in the state of Kentucky,” according to Julie Morgan, organizer of the event.
