Training exercise will be Saturday in Versailles industrial park

Woodford County public-safety agencies will conduct an “active shooter and mass casualty” training exercise Saturday at a factory along the U.S. 60 Bypass in Versailles.

Therefore, the commuting public should not be alarmed if they see law-enforcement officers equipped with ballistic armor and firearms, victims with simulated injuries, and a significant presence of emergency vehicles. The exercise will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

State and federal authorities will also participate, according to a release from Woodford County Emergency Management.

The exercise will be around Ruggles Sign, 101 Kuhlman Boulevard.
