Man dies after being shot at Lexington hotel near Hamburg
A man shot Monday morning at a Lexington hotel near Hamburg died of his injuries Wednesday.
Victor Villagomez-Duarte, 24, of Denver, Colo., was outside the Microtel Inn at 2240 Buena Vista Road just after 9 a.m. Monday when he was shot in his right shoulder, according to Lexington police.
He died at 11:51 a.m. Wednesday in the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, according to the Fayette County coroner’s office.
Police say a dark-colored passenger vehicle may have been involved in the shooting. The investigation is ongoing.
