A second person has been arrested in connection with the death of a man who police say was shot during a drug transaction on Buena Vista Drive.

Daniel J. Glasscock, 28, was arrested Saturday and charged with murder and first-degree robbery in the shooting death of Victor Villagomez-Duarte, according to a news release from Lexington police.

Villagomez-Duarte, 24, of Denver, Colo., was outside the Microtel Inn at 2240 Buena Vista Road just after 9 a.m. Monday when he was shot in his right shoulder, according to Lexington police.

He died at Wednesday morning in the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, according to the Fayette County coroner’s office.

Police arrested Destiny A. Huff, 22, of Nicholasville, on Friday, charging her with murder and first-degree robbery. They said at the time that they had gotten a warrant for Glasscock’s arrest.

Police have said Glasscock and Huff were engaged in an illegal narcotics transaction with Villagomez-Duarte when the shooting occurred.
