Stanford man extradited to face charges from seven counties
A Stanford man is back in jail after he was extradited from Oklahoma to answer to Kentucky charges of taking money for roofing work that wasn’t done.
Randal Long was lodged in the Jessamine County jail this week after he was released from a jail in Norman, Oklahoma, said Jessamine County Chief Deputy Sheriff Allen Peel.
Long, 32, is accused of taking money from two Jessamine Countians for roofing work that wasn’t performed in 2011.
He was arrested in 2014 in Oklahoma for theft of a piece of construction equipment known as a Bobcat loader.
When Long was released from the Oklahoma jail, he was extradited to Kentucky, where he faces charges in Boyle, Casey, Garrard, Pulaski, Russell and Washington counties similar to those in Jessamine, Peel said.
One of the Jessamine victims died this year, Peel said.
