Man accused of taking more than $5,000 in products from hair kiosk
A Lexington man is charged with two counts of burglary after he allegedly took more than $5,000 worth of property from a Fayette Mall kiosk.
Joshua Carl Campbell, 31, was observed on video surveillance stealing from a hair styling kiosk on two separate occasions, according to an arrest citation filed in Fayette District Court. The alleged burglaries happened after the mall had closed, the citation said.
On June 4, Campbell took $2,500 in Evalectric hair flat irons and caused $100 worth of damage to a cabinet, the citation said.
Then, on June 11, Campbell took $3,100 in flat irons and blower brushes from the kiosk.
Lexington police arrested Campbell on Tuesday.
Campbell was scheduled to have a hearing in Fayette Circuit Court on Friday in which a judge would consider revoking probation on previous convictions of shoplifting and theft.
