18-year-old man killed after late night Saturday shooting in Lexington
A man died Sunday morning after being shot numerous times.
Tyler D. Williams, 18, died after 2 a.m. Sunday, according to the Fayette County Coroner’s Office. Williams was found about 11:30 p.m. Saturday near North Martin Luther King Boulevard and East Fifth Street. Williams was taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, where he died.
Williams was found with three gunshot wounds to his back, said Lt. Andrew Daugherty of Lexington Police.
Witnesses reported seeing two males leave in an older white SUV, possibly a Jeep Grand Cherokee, police said.
An autopsy was scheduled for Sunday.
