A man died after a shooting at Race and Third streets Saturday morning.

Charles Shryock, 29, was pronounced dead of a gunshot wound at University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital at 6:16 a.m., according to the Fayette County coroner’s office.

Lexington police responded to a call about a disorder with a weapon on the 300 block of Race Street at 5:35 a.m., said police Lt. Jeremy Tuttle. He said the victim was found on East Second Street.

Tuttle said two people were arrested near the scene after a foot pursuit. Police are investigating to determine whether they were involved in the shooting, he said.
