A man is accused of hiding a handgun behind a bag of chips in the Euclid Avenue Kroger, according to media reports.

Justin Horton, 31, of Morehead, was arrested over the weekend in Lexington and charged after being identified in surveillance video, according to WKYT. Horton is facing several charges, including wanton endangerment, driving under the influence, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, according to the Fayette County jail website where he was booked Sunday.

A manager found the gun at the Kroger and investigators told WKYT that it was on a shelf that could have been reached by a child.
