A second man has been charged in connection with a deadly shooting on Sunday.

Jemel Barber, 18, of Georgetown, has been charged with murder and first-degree robbery in connection with the death of Tyrece Lionel Clark, 40, who died after being shot at the Day’s Motel on Versailles Road Sunday night.

Lexington police said warrants for Barber were served at the Scott County Detention Center, where he is being held on unrelated charges.

Barber was arrested Monday, according to the website of the Scott County Detention Center. Scott County charges include first-degree robbery, third-degree terroristic threatening and second-degree unlawful transaction with a minor.

On Tuesday, police charged Durease Richards, 23, with facilitation to commit murder in connection with the case.

Police have said witnesses reported seeing three males leave the motel in a black pickup truck after the shooting. They think Clark and the suspects knew each other.

Police are still looking for the third person.
