Police searching for man caught on camera stealing $1,000 worth of cigarettes

Lexington police are working to find a man who was caught on camera snatching a more than $1,000 worth of cigarettes fom a Speedway gas station.

While a clerk at the Winchester Road gas station was stocking shelves behind the counter on Aug. 14, a man can be seen taking a box with 36 cartons of cigarettes, according to police. The clerk ran after the man, but he got away and was last seen running behind the store.

Anyone with information related to this case is asked to call police at 859-258-3600.
