Shoplifter attempts to steal laundry detergent. Does not get away clean.

Police are asking for your help to find a shoplifter. If you have information about this crime, don’t try to take action on your own. Anonymous tips, including photos and videos, can be submitted by texting LEXPD plus the tip to CRIMES (274637). This week’s Crime of the Week involves a shoplifter who struck the Kroger store on Bryan Station Road.

On July 25, loss-prevention workers there tried to stop a shoplifter who was trying to steal laundry detergent.

The would-be thief fought with the loss prevention workers and fled.

He has a distinguishable tattoo on his right hand.

Suspect of the Week

This week’s Suspect of the Week is Jason Jenkins, 22, (see photo below). He is wanted on charges of trafficking controlled substances within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of the a handgun by a convicted felon, and being a persistent felony offender.
