She passed out with her 9-month-old baby in the car. Now she’s in jail.
A 29-year-old London woman was charged with public intoxication and wanton endangerment Saturday night after she was found passed out in a car in Laurel County with her 9-month-old baby in the back seat.
Laurel County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a business off of Johnson Road east of London shortly before 7 p.m. Saturday. Deputies found Brittany K. Yaden, 29, passed out in the passenger seat of the car. The 9-month old was in a car seat in the back seat.
Yaden was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Yaden admitted to taking suboxone and smoking marijuana, deputies said.
Yaden was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center. Social services came to the scene and took custody of the child, sheriff’s deputies said.
