Lexington man arrested on child porn charges
A Lexington man was arrested Tuesday and is accused of possessing and distributing child pornography.
Paul Fontana, 26, was arrested as a result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children Investigation through Kentucky State Police. The investigation began after the KSP Electronic Crime Branch discovered him allegedly sharing child porn online, according to police.
The investigation resulted in a search warrant at his home and his arrest, police said. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory, according to police.
Fontana is charged with 25 counts of child porn possession and one count of child porn distribution. Each charge is punishable by one to five years in prison.
