Police are asking for your help to find a group of men accused of vandalism. If you have information about this crime, don’t try to take action on your own. Anonymous tips, including photos and videos, can be submitted by texting LEXPD plus the tip to CRIMES (274637). Crime of the Week

On Jan. 15, officers were called to the Chabad of the Bluegrass near University of Kentucky, where they were advised that a group of five of six college men were overheard outside in the street. They made derogatory comments and proceeded to tear down and steal the sign in front of the building.

When a UK police officer observed the suspects near a dead end on Oldham Avenue, they dropped the sign and fled as he approached.

Bluegrass Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 cash reward for information leading to the solving of this crime.

Suspect of the Week

This week’s suspect of the week is Dequan Mitchell (see picture below). He is wanted for trafficking heroin and cocaine. He is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds.
