Shooting on Lexington's Georgetown Street leaves two injured

Lexington Police found two victims early Friday morning who were shot in their torsos in the Georgetown Street area.

The incident occurred around 3:20 a.m. and led to multiple calls of shots being fired. A man led police to the first victim, on Georgetown Street near Oak Street with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. Minutes later, another victim was found a block down on Elm Street with a non-life threatening injury of his own, police said.

Police said they did recover a stolen firearm. One home was also struck by gunfire.

The victims are not being cooperative with police, who have been unable to determine if the shootings happened inside or outside. Police are looking into whether the two shootings are connected.

Information about possible suspects has not been released.
