Man found dead on 4th Street, becoming 18th homicide victim this year.
A man was found dead with a gunshot wound on a Lexington sidewalk early Monday morning, according to the Fayette County Coroner.
Around 3 a.m. Monday, Lexington police responded to East Fourth Street near Ohio Street, where a man was found dead, according to police. There were calls to police just prior to the victim being found of shots fired, police said.
Christopher Snow, 32, was identified as the deceased victim, according to the coroner. He was ruled to be shot by another person and his death is being ruled a homicide.
It's the 18th homicide of the year in Lexington. In last year's record-breaking year of 28 homicides, just nine occurred before July 2.
