He stole $4,000 in lottery tickets, police say. The payout? Burglary charges.

A Lexington man has been arrested for allegedly stealing over $4,000 worth of scratch off lottery tickets, Lexington police said in a press release.

Jeremy John Jarman, 42, was charged with two counts of burglary 3rd degree after allegedly breaking into multiple gas stations and stealing lottery tickets.

On April 16 and 23, police say that Jarman was seen on video surveillance breaking through the glass front doors of local gas stations and stealing several rolls of scratch-off lottery tickets.

Police estimate the value of the tickets to be over $4,000.

Other burglary investigations are ongoing and Jarman may face additional charges, the release said. Jarman is currently lodging in the Fayette County Detention Center.
