Trash bag-wearing burglar smashed gas station window with a rock. Here’s what he looks like.

Lexington police are asking the public to help them identify a man who used a big rock to break into a Lexington gas station.

After throwing the rock through the window, the man, who was wearing a trash bag at the time of the burglary, can be seen in a video released by the police climbing in the window of the Marathon station at 1840 Bryan Station Road amid shattered glass and a mess of merchandise.

Police say the burglar took rolls of coins and cartons of cigarettes before leaving by way of the same window.

The police responded to the gas station after an alarm went off in the early hours of June 25. They said they decided to release the surveillance video in hopes of generating new leads in the case.
