Police need help identifying ‘blockheads’ stealing pumpkins from Lexington porches

Almost as bad as getting a rock in your trick-or-treat bag is finding that someone has swiped the pumpkins right off your front porch.

Lexington police say a group of people have been stealing pumpkins in Lexington neighborhoods, and they’re asking for the public’s help to crack the case.

“It’s the Great Pumpkin Caper, Lexington!” police tweeted Saturday afternoon. “Three blockheads were caught on camera stealing pumpkins from porches in the Still Meadow and Chilesburg neighborhoods,” police tweeted Saturday afternoon.

They asked that anyone with information contact them at 859-258-3600 or email policepio@lexingtonpolice.ky.gov.
